About
About Kratky Hydro
Kratky Hydro is a guide to growing with the Kratky method in the space you actually have.

What We Do
The Kratky method is passive hydroponics: a plant grows in a net cup over a container of nutrient solution, with no pump and no electricity. It's simple, but where you grow changes almost everything about how to do it well.
So instead of one general guide, Kratky Hydro is organized by grow space: windowsills, apartments, balconies, grow-light shelves, greenhouses, off-grid cabins and classrooms. Each guide covers what that space gives you, what it lacks, and how to work around it.
How We Grow
We grow this way ourselves. Our plants live in mason jars indoors all year long, and when the weather warms up we transplant some of them outdoors.
Who It's For
Home growers who want fresh greens and herbs without soil, pumps or a big setup, and teachers, parents and anyone else looking for a simple growing project.
